Pet friendly rentals in Pattaya: 96 of 1,347 listings say yes

On October 26, 2026 at 10:23 am (Thailand time), RENT KHA counts 1,347 rental listings online in Pattaya and the surrounding area, posted between October 14 and October 23, 2026. 96 of them say they accept pets, or 7%, and 139 refuse them, or 10%. The other 1,112, 83%, do not mention pets at all.

That silence means neither yes nor no. An owner who has never been asked does not write it down, and a building can ban pets without the listing saying so. The figures in this article come from what each listing states. That is also what the Pets allowed filter on the Listings page shows: it keeps only the 96 listings where the poster says yes.

The type of home matters a lot. Of 815 condo listings, 34 accept pets and 90 refuse them; 691 say nothing. Of 221 houses, 37 accept, 31 refuse and 153 say nothing; of 176 villas, 18 accept, 9 refuse and 149 stay silent; of 67 townhouses, 4 accept, 5 refuse and 58 do not say. In condos, no clearly wins; in houses, yes and no are about even.

Rents are medians: half the listings ask less, half ask more. We only give a median when at least three listings state the figure, and each figure comes with its number of listings; with 34 condos that accept pets, many samples are small, and we say so. A listing leaves RENT KHA 30 days after its last repost, or as soon as its poster marks it rented, and only listings with photos are counted, as on the Listings page.

Pet friendly condo in Pattaya: 34 listings out of 815

Condos make up most listings, but few accept pets: 34 out of 815, or 4%, against 90 that refuse them (11%) and 691 that say nothing (85%). These 34 listings come from 31 posters and describe 28 different units, going by building and floor: three listings offer the same 26 m² unit on the 22nd floor of The Grand AD Jomtien, three others a 35.6 m² unit on the 34th floor of The Riviera Jomtien, and two units, at Riviera Monaco and at The Riviera Jomtien, appear twice each.

The bigger the condo, the rarer the yes. 7 studios out of 133 accept pets and 14 refuse them; 21 one-bedroom condos out of 415 accept, 45 refuse; only 2 two-bedroom condos out of 174 accept, against 26 refusals; none of the 12 three-bedroom condos accepts. The widest choice is therefore among one-bedroom units.

The median rent of a one-bedroom condo that accepts pets is ฿20,000 a month across 21 rents, against ฿16,000 for all 406 one-bedroom rents. The gap comes mostly from the buildings: 13 of these 21 listings are in a Riviera building, at a median of ฿22,000 (from ฿15,000 to ฿37,000); the other 8 ask a median of ฿12,000, from ฿11,000 to ฿26,000. The 7 studios that accept pets ask a median of ฿13,000, against ฿11,500 across 129 studio rents.

On budget, out of 33 rents for condos that accept pets, only 1 is at ฿10,000 or less: a 26 m² studio on the 18th floor of The Twin Tower Grand at ฿9,500, which accepts pets up to 10 kg. 8 are at ฿12,000 or less, 14 at ฿15,000 or less, 21 at ฿20,000 or less, and 3 go above ฿25,000, up to ฿37,000.

Where to rent a condo with a pet: Jomtien and the Riviera buildings

Jomtien holds more than half of the condos that accept pets: 19 of the 34, out of 300 condo listings in the area, which also count 32 refusals. Pratumnak has 5 out of 146 (18 refusals), Na Jomtien 3 out of 33 (7 refusals), and 5 listings give no area. Wongamat is the most closed: 2 listings accept pets and 22 refuse them, out of 68. In the centre, no condo listing says it accepts pets: 0 out of 50 in Central Pattaya, 0 out of 36 in South Pattaya, 0 out of 20 in North Pattaya.

18 of the 34 listings are in one of four Riviera buildings. The Riviera Jomtien has 22 condo listings: 8 accept pets, 2 refuse them, 12 do not say. Riviera Ocean Drive, also in Jomtien, has 21: 7 accept, 3 refuse. Riviera Monaco, 10 listings: 2 accept, 1 refuses. The Riviera Wongamat goes the other way: 1 accepts, 5 refuse, out of 14.

Elsewhere, the yeses are scattered: three listings at The Twin Tower Grand and The Twin Tower Jomtien, three at The Grand AD Jomtien (a single unit), three Sombat buildings in Pratumnak, three Siam Oriental buildings, Musselana and Pure Sunset Beach in Na Jomtien, Dusit Grand Park and The Grand Jomtien Beach. Refusals cluster too: 5 of the 8 listings at Zire Wongamat refuse pets, 4 of the 16 at Lumpini Park Beach Jomtien, and all 3 listings at The Grand Jomtien.

Within the same building, the answer changes from one listing to the next: at The Riviera Jomtien as at Riviera Ocean Drive, some listings say yes and others no. The answer is given unit by unit; only 2 of the 34 listings state that the whole building accepts pets. Ask for each unit, and ask what the building rules say.

Renting a house with a dog in Pattaya: as many yeses as noes

Houses, townhouses and villas, 464 listings in all, say yes more often: 59 accept pets, 45 refuse them, 360 do not mention them. But the same house often turns up with several posters. Three houses alone make up 21 of the 59 listings that accept: a 3-bedroom house in Huay Yai at ฿30,000, listed by 11 posters; a 2-bedroom house in Khao Noi at ฿13,000, listed 5 times; and a 3-bedroom house in Nong Pla Lai at ฿45,000, open to pets in 5 of its 7 listings. On the refusal side, a 3-bedroom house in Naklua at ฿35,000, listed 5 times, makes up 4 of the 45 refusals.

Counting each of these four houses once leaves 440 properties: 41 accept pets, 42 refuse them and 357 say nothing. For houses, the answer is yes as often as no, while condo listings refuse more than twice as often as they accept (90 against 34). Other houses appear 2 to 5 times; we did not remove them.

The 41 houses that accept pets ask a median of ฿30,000, from ฿13,000 to ฿80,000: 5 are at ฿15,000 or less, 9 at ฿20,000 or less, 24 at ฿30,000 or less, and 11 go above ฿50,000. Overall, they are not more expensive: with 2 bedrooms or fewer, houses that accept ask a median of ฿16,000 (13 rents), against ฿19,000 for those that refuse (15); with 3 bedrooms, ฿30,000 (19) against ฿35,000 (16); with 4 bedrooms or more, ฿65,000 (9) against ฿50,000 (11). Each of these medians rests on 9 to 19 rents.

By area, Khao Noi has 6 houses that accept pets and none that refuses them, out of 17. East Pattaya, the area that lists the most houses, has 5 that accept and 9 that refuse, out of 57; Huay Yai, 4 and 5; Khao Talo and Nong Prue, 3 and 3; Naklua, which listings often spell Na Kluea, 2 and 4. 7 houses that accept pets give no area.

Small dogs, cats only, extra fee: the conditions in listings

A yes often comes with a condition. According to their summaries, 12 of the 34 condo listings that accept pets set one (one listing sets two). 4 accept only small pets, 2 of them up to 10 kg; 3 accept only cats; 3 decide case by case; 1 limits it to one dog or one cat. 2 charge more: at Siam Oriental Tropical Garden, in Pratumnak, a 55 m² one-bedroom rents for ฿26,000, or ฿28,000 with a pet; at Riviera Ocean Drive, one listing mentions an extra fee without giving the amount.

For houses, of the 41 that accept pets, 6 accept only small ones: the Huay Yai house at ฿30,000, for example, or a townhouse in Thepprasit that rents for ฿26,000, or ฿27,000 with a small dog of up to 7 kg. In Khao Noi, a 3-bedroom house at ฿30,000 accepts up to 2 small pets. 3 houses charge extra for the pet. None of the 96 listings that accept pets mentions, in its summary, a deposit specific to the pet: ask before you sign.

A pet does not force you into a one-year lease. Of the 29 condos that accept pets and state a minimum lease, 7 accept 3 months or less, 3 from 4 to 6 months, and 19 ask for 7 months or more, 18 of them a year. That is 24% short leases, against 16% across all condos (100 out of 633), on a small sample. Houses, on the other hand, are almost all rented by the year. Of the 34 condo listings that accept pets, 5 come from owners, 10 from agents, and 19 do not let you tell.

Renting with a pet in Pattaya: what to ask before you sign

Most listings stay silent: 691 condos, and 357 houses out of 440, say nothing about pets. Write the species, size, weight and number of your pets in your first message: a listing that only accepts small pets or cats can then answer straight away.

In a condo, also ask what the building rules say: in Wongamat, 22 of the 68 condo listings refuse pets, and within the same Riviera building the answers vary from one listing to the next. Have the lease state that the pet is accepted, with its species and number, and ask whether cleaning is expected when you move out. For a one-year lease, the most common practice remains a deposit of two months’ rent plus the first month paid in advance.

On the Listings page, the Pets allowed box combines with type, area, bedrooms, maximum rent and lease; any search can be saved as an alert. Access, at ฿75 a month instead of ฿100, lets you message each poster directly, including those who say nothing about pets, and opens e-mail alerts; at ฿150 instead of ฿200, the Professional plan also sends every matching new listing to Telegram or WhatsApp, and features one property a month for anyone renting out their own. With the Professional plan, the Areas page also shows, for all listings online, the share that accepts pets, refuses them or says nothing.
